A well-tuned hand plane is the most reliable tool in the shop. If you still look at your hand planes as a liability or you are just a natural bargain hunter this Sunday afternoon class could be a great opportunity for you. We aim to bring students through the restoration process with as little misdirected effort as possible, demonstrating a clear process for turning a rusted beater to a high-performing plane that can tackle any type of grain without tear-out.

Note: Not every plane can be restored so please contact instructor for advice on evaluating and purchasing used/new planes and/or replacement blades before class begins.
