3rd Annual Poets' Banquet

This much anticipated yearly event will feature work read by poets, would-be poets, and poetry lovers plus a convivial feast of poetry, soup, bread, and cheese. All are invited to attend and partake of the creative atmosphere. Come and read a poem of your own or one that you love, or bring a poem for the Poetry Bowl to be read at random.

Special Guest and Reader: Nancy Means Wright

Nancy Means Wright has published 14 books of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Her poems appear in Carolina Quarterly, Green Mountains Review, Bellingham Review, Comstock Review, and numerous other journals; and in anthologies from Beacon Press, Univ. of Illinois Press, Ashland Poetry Press, St. Martin’s Press and elsewhere. Her poems have twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. A former Bread Loaf Scholar, long-time teacher, actress and play director, and Scholar for the Vermont Humanities Council, she lives in Cornwall, Vermont with her engineer partner and two Maine Coon cats.

All attendance is held in reserve so eager poets are encouraged to call and set aside their places. A $17 fee includes banquet dining and a poetry feast!
