Creative Wire and Beads (Ages 8-10)

Add dazzling color to your life by making your very own original creations out of bead and wire. Learn to use snips, round-nose, and flat-nose pliers to make earring findings, simple clasps, and chain. Using their own hands and basic jewelry-making tools, students will learn to twist, wind, flatten, form, and shape metal wire into earrings, bracelets, anklets, pendants, and necklaces. Beautiful copper wire in a spectacular array of colors, and delicate glass beads in all shapes and sizes are available for each student to enjoy. Kids will create miniature figures, jewelry and wire and bead dream catchers. They will be encouraged to explore and develop their own unique and personal style.
