Intermediate Woodworking—Hand-Cut Dovetails

After covering mortise and tenons in the Beginner Class, students are ready to tackle more advanced projects. Many students choose a dovetail-oriented project, but all designs are welcome. Beds, desks, and boxes have all been successfully built from pattern books or students’ original designs. Students are encouraged to consult the instructor before choosing a project to determine the time frame and necessary materials for completion. Dovetails will be covered in detail, but the class content is primarily dictated by student projects.

It is highly recommended that students taking this course for the first time take the Introduction to Design and Drafting workshop.
