woodworking classesThe Shelburne Art Center offers year-round classes in crafts and fine arts for adults, teens, and children. Seven well-equipped studios are located in charming historic buildings in which resident artists work and teach. Students experience the joy of creating with paint, wood, clay, fiber, metal, stained glass, and other mediums. Summer art camps for children enhance the program. Older teens (14+) are welcome in most adult classes.

Five Easy Ways to Register

Online: Online-registration must be completed 7 days prior to the beginning of class. If less than seven days, please contact the office by phone or in person. Click here to register online.

In Person: Administrative Office, 54 Falls Road. Monday-Friday 10:00am-5:00pm.

Policies

Payment: Full payment for tuition and materials is due upon enrollment. Checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted. Tuition cannot be prorated.

Cancellations: Shelburne Art Center reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes to adjust for enrollment. If the Art Center cancels a class, you may transfer to another class or receive a full refund.

Withdrawals and Refunds: A full refund, less a $25 administrative fee, will be given to students who withdraw from a course two weeks or more prior to the first day of class. No refunds will be given after that time. Verbal notification to the instructor or failure to attend classes is not regarded as an official notice of withdrawal. Requests for withdrawal must be directed to the Administrative Office. No refunds for membership.

Absences: Student absences are non-refundable.

Scholarships: The Art Center offers a limited number of needs-based scholarships for adults and children. For an application, please contact the Administrative Office at 985-3648.

Cell Phone Use: Students, staff, and faculty are asked to silence their cell phones during class. Cell phone conversations should be conducted outside of the classroom where they will not disrupt class.
